This last weekend was a dream come true! I’ve been a huge fan of Fixer Upper on HGTV since it started airing a few years ago – and thankfully so have the girls in my family! We decided to make the trip down to Waco to visit the Silos and Magnolia Market and it did not disappoint! My sister, mom, sister-in-law, and I flew into Dallas Friday and then rented a car to drive down to Waco!
After checking into our hotel, we ventured out to find some Mexican food and a girls weekend can’t be successful without margaritas!
We got up early Saturday morning and made it over to the Silos! It was a beautiful sunny day! If you plan on making a trip down there – particularly on a Saturday – get there right when it opens! We were able to walk right into the store, but it was crowded, and when we came out there were super long lines to get in!
It really is a beautiful place!
The bakery line was so long that we didn’t actually make it inside. Don’t worry though, they have a trailer too with the other food trucks where we got our cupcakes!
It was also nice to see flowers blooming and green again! #springcomequick
There she is!!
The whole set up in there is inspiration in itself.
Joanna’s line with Matilda Jane is adorable!! I don’t have children yet, but I want this little teepee for myself! Or I might just order it in hopes I’ll have a daughter one day! #seriously
After we finished up inside Magnolia Market, we walked around the grounds and into the Seed+Supply store.
Loved the brick paver floors in there!
Then we hit up the food trucks and got some lunch!
And we couldn’t leave without picking up some cupcakes! They were seriously so delicious!
After leaving the Silos, we made the short drive over to Clint’s shop! If you remember from the show, Chip and Joanna redid a house for Clint and his wife right next to their shop (below). I’ve read online they no longer live here since they needed more privacy with the popularity of the show, but it is such a cool house! So you ready to see what I bought?! I tried not to go too crazy and had to get things I knew I could fit in my suitcase to get home! FYI they do have a FedEx station right inside the shop now if you do buy something you can’t transport back home.
Can you tell I have a thing for black and white?!
B&W Bowls | Stoneware House Butter Dish | Post Office Box | Towel from Harp Design Co.
Sorry I can’t provide a link for some of them since they’re not available online! I can’t wait to find a place for everything! If you missed my last post on other items I’ve purchased from their online shop, check it out here!
I was also able to start and finish The Magnolia Story on this trip. Let me just say, their story is pretty incredible and their souls are just as beautiful as the homes and the attraction they have created in Waco. They have a hilarious, wonderful love story and they really built this universe from nothing. It left me feeling truly inspired to follow my passions and to let God lead the way.
